Muse [X] is proud to share a new milestone from MattYC, one of our young artists, as he begins recording his debut piano solo album.
The project marks an important step in his musical journey — moving beyond lessons, practice, competitions, and live performance into the process of creating a complete recorded work for a global audience.
The album is being prepared for release across major digital music platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music.
For a young musician, recording an album is a very different experience from simply performing a piece well.
It requires consistency, musical decision-making, focus, sound awareness, repeated takes, post-production, and the ability to shape a performance that can live permanently as a recording.
The project is also supported by our partner Sonos Libra, helping us build a professional recording environment with high-quality equipment including Earthworks piano microphones and an Allen & Heath mixer to capture and manage the performance with greater detail, clarity, and control.
This collaboration reflects another important part of the Muse [X] ecosystem: giving young artists access not only to great teaching, but also to the tools, technology, and professional workflow behind real music production.
At Muse [X], we believe that music education should not end when a student can play a piece on stage.
It should also create opportunities for young artists to experience how music is recorded, produced, released, and shared with the world.
For MattYC, this debut album is more than a collection of piano performances.
It is a record of where he is now as a young artist — and the beginning of a catalogue he can continue building in the years ahead.
From the practice room, to the recording studio, to the world.
