Master Amm

Master Sontirat “Amm” Yoopanead is a professional bassist with a strong foundation in military music training, jazz performance, and studio recording. He graduated from the Royal Thai Navy School of Music in 1999 as part of Class 37, specializing in international music performance with string bass as his principal instrument. He has completed advanced military music and international music training programs, and currently performs with the jazz group ACD’ while also recording bass for solo works by Ae StoneSoul. At Muse [X], he brings disciplined musicianship, ensemble awareness, jazz experience, and real-world performance practice to bass students.

Biography

Master Sontirat “Amm” Yoopanead is a professional bassist trained through Thailand’s military music tradition, with experience in string bass, jazz performance, ensemble playing, and studio recording. He graduated from the Royal Thai Navy School of Music in 1999, as part of Royal Thai Navy Music Student Class 37, specializing in International Music Arts and Crafts, with string bass as his principal instrument. His formal training gave him a strong foundation in discipline, reading, ensemble responsibility, tone production, rhythm, and professional performance standards. Master Amm has also completed further music training, including the Chief Petty Officer Professional Course in Music and an international music training program with foreign instructors. These experiences strengthened both his technical musicianship and his understanding of ensemble performance across different musical settings. Today, he remains active as a working musician. He performs regularly with the jazz group ACD’ and has recorded bass for solo works by Ae StoneSoul. His experience combines formal discipline, practical stage work, jazz musicianship, and recording professionalism. At Muse [X], Master Amm brings a calm, grounded, and professional approach to bass education. His teaching is especially valuable for students who need to build strong rhythm, timing, groove, tone, listening skills, and the ability to support an ensemble with confidence and musical responsibility.
