Plengporn Tanwanichsiri

Kru Punch

Plengporn Tanwanichsiri, known as “Kru Punch,” A violinist and music educator with a strong foundation in both violin and piano, she began piano at Yamaha at age five and later achieved ABRSM Piano Grade 8 with Merit. She studied violin from age eight with leading teachers in Thailand and abroad, later entering the College of Music, Mahidol University in 2015. Her performance experience includes Sunrise String Orchestra, PYO, Mahidol Symphony Orchestra, Salaya Chamber, international festivals in Japan, and professional performances in India. Since 2016, she has taught violin and guided students through ABRSM examinations and international competitions.

Plengporn Tanwanichsiri

Biography

Plengporn Tanwanichsiri began her musical journey with piano at Yamaha at the age of five, later continuing her studies with Ajarn Usa Napawan and Ajarn Jamorn Supapol. She successfully completed ABRSM Piano Grade 8 with Merit, building a strong musical foundation that continues to support her work as both performer and educator. At the age of eight, she began studying violin with Ajarn Chanya Kitinun, Ajarn Rapee Napawan, Bing Han, and Juris Madrevich. In 2015, she entered the College of Music, Mahidol University, where she continued her violin studies with Omiros Yavroumis. Her orchestral and chamber music experience includes performing with Sunrise String Orchestra, PYO Season 3–4 as first violin, Mahidol Symphony Orchestra as Principal Second Violin, and Salaya Chamber. In 2017, she participated in the Miyakojima Youth International Music Festival in Japan. In 2024, she performed with the Ambani Wedding Orchestra in Mumbai, India. In 2025, she competed in the chamber violin category of the Tokyo International Music and Dance Competition, receiving the Elite Award in the preliminary round and the Gold Award in the final round in Tokyo, Japan. As a teacher, she has been teaching since 2016. She has taught at KPN The Paseo Mall Lat Krabang, now known as The Sense Music. Her students have successfully passed ABRSM violin examinations, including Violin Grade 1 with Distinction, Violin Grade 3 with Distinction, and Violin Grade 5 with Merit. She has also prepared students for international competitions such as the International Young Music Competition Wien, Hong Kong Music Competition 19th, Tokyo International Music and Dance Competition 2026, and other music events.
