Nattaporn “New” Chonlatan is a pianist, flutist, educator, and professional military musician with a background in Western music performance from the College of Music, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. Trained as a flute performance major, she has performed with wind ensembles, flute quartets, and orchestra projects in Thailand and abroad, including cultural exchange performances in Japan. Alongside her performing career, she specializes in early childhood piano education, ABRSM preparation, flute training, and music theory for university entrance.

Biography

Nattaporn “New” Chonlatan is a piano and flute faculty member with a strong foundation in Western classical music, ensemble performance, and music education. She graduated from the College of Music, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, majoring in Flute Performance, where she developed her artistic foundation as both a solo and ensemble musician. As a performer, New has been active in wind ensemble, flute quartet, and orchestral settings. She is a member of DPE Winds under the Department of Physical Education of Thailand and has participated in international cultural exchange performances in Japan, contributing to cross-cultural music collaboration and marching band development. During her time in Japan, she rehearsed and performed with Imaji at Nagoya Festival 2018, and also worked with the wind band of Meiden High School, one of Nagoya’s well-known and highly awarded school bands. Her musical development has also included masterclass experiences with internationally recognized artists, including Julien Beaudiment, as well as other foreign guest artists. She has been a member of several ensembles, including Candy Flute Quartet, Harmonious Musikavier, and is a co-founder and member of Varios Wind Orchestra. She also received 1st Runner-Up in the Valaya Alongkorn Music Competition in the Ensemble category. Professionally, New completed an internship with the Fine Arts Department in 2021 and currently serves as a military musician at the Welfare Office, Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters. In parallel with her performing career, she has extensive teaching experience in piano, flute, and music theory. She teaches young piano students from age 3 through ABRSM Grade 4, flute students from beginner level through ABRSM Grade 8, and music theory for students preparing for university entrance. She has also served as a special music instructor at Panchasap Dindaeng School and as a part-time music teacher at Vajiravudh College. At Muse [X], New brings a rare combination of early childhood piano pedagogy, flute performance training, ensemble discipline, and professional musician experience. Her teaching focuses on building solid musical foundations, confidence, coordination, expressive awareness, and long-term discipline in young musicians.
