Biography
Dr. Akkrawat “Paye” Srinarong is an internationally acclaimed music artist, educator, entrepreneur, and cultural leader recognized by Forbes Thailand as an “Entrepreneurial Musician.” A second-generation classical musician, his musical journey began under the guidance of his father, Prof. Phukorn Srinarong, one of Thailand’s pioneering music educators.
He was the first recipient of the HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana Classical Music Fund, whose support helped launch a career that would grow across performance, innovation, education, and creative leadership on the international stage.
Over three decades and across six continents, Dr. Paye has built a reputation as a performing artist, conductor, creator, producer, and ecosystem builder. His work bridges classical performance, contemporary culture, technology, media, and entrepreneurship, expanding the role of music in the 21st century.
A First-Class Honours graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, he later earned advanced degrees from the Yale School of Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Stony Brook University. He has appeared as a violin soloist, conductor, chamber musician, show creator, and creative leader at major venues and festivals worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and the Aspen Music Festival.
As Music Director of the Thai Youth Orchestra from 2016 to 2024, Dr. Paye led the ensemble to international recognition, including First Prize at the Summa Cum Laude International Youth Orchestra Competition in Vienna. His leadership advanced a model of youth orchestra development that integrates artistic excellence, innovation, leadership, and global citizenship.
He is the Co-Founder of Viemus Music School, Founder of 159 Chamber Orchestra, Creative Director of DTRN, and producer of major cultural and immersive experiences. His ensemble VIETRIO became one of Southeast Asia’s most influential classical crossover artists through acclaimed recordings, sold-out performances, international touring, and cross-industry collaborations.
Dr. Paye currently serves as President of the Yale Club of Thailand and is a leading voice in Southeast Asia’s creative economy, exploring the intersection of music, leadership, technology, education, and human potential.
As Co-Founder and Chancellor of Muse [X], Dr. Paye is building a multidisciplinary ecosystem where performing arts, technology, creativity, entrepreneurship, and humanity converge — creating opportunities for future generations to learn, innovate, and lead with purpose.
