Asst. Prof. Dr. Somponnat Sampattavanich

Asst. Prof. Dr. Somponnat Sampattavanich is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, and Director of the Siriraj Center of Research Excellence for Cancer Precision Medicine and Systems Pharmacology. His work brings together cancer biology, spatial biology, artificial intelligence, systems pharmacology, and patient-derived organoids to advance more personalized approaches to healthcare. He also serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Institute of Resource Development and Analysis, Kumamoto University, Japan. Beyond his scientific research, Dr. Somponnat is deeply committed to interdisciplinary education. He has developed research and learning programs that connect science, technology, medicine, and creativity, including Thailand’s first graduate programs in Systems Pharmacology. He is also the founder of the Asia Pacific Spatial Biology & Single-Cell Innovation Symposium, connecting researchers and innovators from more than 15 countries. As Director of Muse [X] Science Experience School, Dr. Somponnat leads a vision where science is introduced not only as knowledge, but as a creative process of curiosity, experimentation, prototyping, and meaningful impact. His goal is to inspire young learners to connect science with art, music, design, technology, and society — preparing them to imagine, create, and shape the future.
