Biography
Ardhaphol “Ae StoneSoul” Roockharangsarit is a veteran Thai contemporary musician, artist, songwriter, producer, and creative director whose musical journey began more than 30 years ago with the formation of Stone Soul. Together with his friends and brother, Ae started the band as a shared dream among four musicians. The name Stone Soul was given by Tiva Sarachudha, marking the beginning of a long-standing musical identity that would become part of Thailand’s pop-rock landscape.
Over the course of his career with Stone Soul, Ae has released five albums with five different record labels, including Bakery Music, AV Studio, In&On, BEC-Tero, and RS. Beyond the band’s main albums, he has also participated in additional solo and collaborative album projects, contributing to several other releases throughout his career.
Even after three decades, Ae continues to actively create new music. His current body of work reflects a deep commitment to musical exploration and cross-genre collaboration. Rather than staying within a single style, he has invited respected friends, artists, and musicians from across the industry to co-create songs in diverse directions, including classic Thai country, 1970s rock, rhythm and blues, retro ballroom dance, 1980s ballad, pop jazz, city pop, cinematic pop, and R&B-influenced pop jazz.
His recent creative collaborations include work with Jessada O Sookdhramorn “O Sepia” on Man Gern Roi, Jack Fly on Nai Phad Thai, Dulyasith Srabua on Yang Yoo Trong Nee, Modyak Beachboyz on Mon Rak Jangwa Love, pianist Yai Supachai on HBD to You, Pla Thong iHere Band on Chan Ja Pen, saxophonist Mint Passakorn on Muean Khon Khun Khoey, Art Vacation on Lonely Lonely, and Kris, one of Thailand’s leading jazz guitarists, on Mai Chai Chan.
At Muse [X], Ae represents the bridge between real industry experience and serious contemporary music education. His direction is rooted in the belief that pop and rock musicians must learn not only how to play, but how to create, collaborate, perform, arrange, record, and build an authentic artistic identity. His presence gives students access to the culture of real bands, real songs, real stages, and real professional music-making.
