Biography
Adsadang "Guitar" Rookkarangsarit was born in Bangkok and began studying music in 2011 as a student member of the Wat Rajabopit School Marching Band, where he performed on French horn under the guidance of Ajarn Narin Phuwancharoen. During his time at Wat Rajabopit School, he participated in numerous marching band competitions and gained extensive ensemble experience, receiving many awards with the school’s music program.
While in Grade 11, Adsadang developed a strong interest in the saxophone and began studying with Ajarn Supat Hanpattanachai. This marked the beginning of his dedicated path in saxophone performance. He continued to expand his training through competitions, workshops, and masterclasses, including the OBEC Music Talent Competition, where he advanced to the top 25, the D’Addario Saxophone Workshop, saxophone workshops with Ajarn Supat Hanpattanachai, and a saxophone masterclass with Johan Van der Linden. These experiences became an important foundation and inspiration for his decision to pursue music at the university level.
Atsadang later completed his higher education in Classical Saxophone Performance at Silpakorn University, studying with Ajarn Pakpoom Duangkaew in the Music Performance program. Throughout his development as a musician, he has performed with a wide range of ensembles, including Siam Mint Saxophone Quartet, Silpakorn Wind Orchestra, Thai Youth Wind Seasons 1–5, Thai Youth Orchestra, Dariyoong Saxophone Ensemble, WeWinds by Udomsuksa, Camerata Winds by Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music, RWO Rangsit Winds Orchestra, Zalymanian Wind Orchestra, Million Wind Philharmonic, and Siam Sinfonietta.
His achievements include winning 1st Prize at the Valaya Music Competition 2025 in the Wind Ensemble category, 1st Prize at the Music & Marching Arts International, 1st Runner-Up at the WAMSB Music Competition, and 2nd Runner-Up at the Valaya Music Competition 2020.
As an educator, Atsadang has successfully trained students for solo competitions, school entrance auditions, ABRSM examinations, and ensemble performance. His students have received 1st Prize at the BCC Music Competition in the Solo category and have successfully entered Triam Udom Suksa School through the special talent quota. He teaches ABRSM Saxophone Grades 1–8, saxophone quartet, ensemble playing, and concert band training.
At Muse [X], Atsadang brings a disciplined and performance-focused approach to saxophone education. His teaching combines strong technical foundation, ensemble awareness, tone development, musical confidence, and competition readiness.
